Question 1

What is a Hiba Gift card?

Accepted Answer

A Hiba Gift is a charitable gift card. When you donate in someone's name, they receive a beautiful digital gift card celebrating your generosity. For gifts to a listed charity, Hiba Gifts processes the payment and it settles to that charity's own connected payment account. Every donation, including a cause gift, settles to the receiving charity's own connected payment account; Hiba Gifts does not hold donations for later allocation.

Question 2

Does the recipient see the donation amount?

Accepted Answer

By default, no. Recipient privacy is one of our core principles. The recipient will see your message and the charity you supported, but the donation amount is hidden unless you choose to show it during checkout.

Question 3

Can I schedule a gift card for a future date?

Accepted Answer

Yes! During checkout, you can choose to have the gift card delivered immediately or schedule it for a special date like a birthday, anniversary, or holiday.

Question 4

Can the recipient reply to my gift?

Accepted Answer

Recipients can view your personal message and see the impact your donation is making. If the charity posts an impact update, you'll both receive a notification. That keeps the connection alive long after the gift.

Question 5

What if the recipient doesn't receive the email?

Accepted Answer

Gift cards can be resent from your donor dashboard. If you need assistance, please contact our support team. Make sure to check that the recipient's email address is correct.

Question 6

Can I download a PDF of the gift card?

Accepted Answer

Yes, recipients can download a PDF version of their gift card from the gift card page. This is perfect for printing or sharing.

Question 7

Do Hiba Gift cards expire?

Accepted Answer

No. The donation is processed at the moment of purchase, so the card itself doesn't lose value or expire the way a retail gift card can. The recipient can revisit their card page any time.

Question 8

What's the difference between a Hiba Gift card and a straight donation?

Accepted Answer

The donation is the same either way. The gift card wraps it in a personal message and a beautiful card for someone else, so you can mark a birthday, thank-you, or occasion by giving in their name.

Question 9

Can I send one donation to more than one person at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A single checkout supports up to five recipients on the one donation. Each person receives their own personalised card, and you're only charged once.
